My abroad experience will absolutely have a lasting impact on my life. Everything was just perfect, from the staff at The Education Abroad Network (TEAN) to the beautiful, picturesque scenery that surrounded me everyday. Without TEAN this trip may not have been possible. The program helped me every step of the way and made the w... Emily P - Stonehill College View Entire Review

I learned that I was far more capable than I ever thought. I took a big risk leaving home and traveling on my own for five months, and it helped me become much more of an independent adult. I met amazing people and had incredible experiences. I would do it again in a heartbeat! Lauren A - Drake University View Entire Review
I can't begin to explain what I gained from this. My sense of self was enforced, and given a new facet. My host country became like my home country, and my friends became family. The breathtaking views alone are enough to leave a poet with a lifetime of imagery. It was so worthwhile. I miss it every single day! Christine C - Towson University View Entire Review
I gained so much. The most important thing is the ability to handle challenging situations as a group, and when I was by myself. I travelled alone for a month, including a week of hitch-hiking alone around New Zealand. I had to handle lots of tough situations on my own, and I'm more mature because of it. I gained insight into how other parts of the world live and learned about their values, customs, and norms. It was leap outside of my comfort zone and allowed me open my eyes even more to opportunities, sites, and experiences I never thought I would have. So much of what I learned while studying abroad in Wellington cannot be taught in a classroom, nor could you fully grasp the enormity of it's importance to my life simply by me telling you. The only way to have become who I am today, a better version of who I was five months ago, was to live and enjoy every moment of my time in ... This program helped me to grow up a lot and be a lot more independent which I think a lot of American students don't always get from going to college like our parents did when they were our age. I also learned a lot about other cultures and learned to appreciate them from a different perspective. I couldn't have learned the thin... A student - Drake University View Entire Review

I learned so much about myself and what I was capable of. I did things I never thought I could. I learned about independence and how to acclimate to new situations. I learned about respect of cultures and just because it's different, doesn't mean it's wrong. It was the most worthwhile experience of my life. Ever since I've been back, I've been describing my abroad experience as "an unforgettable adventure." Although it may sound cliché, my trip truly was unforgettable for countless reasons. Since UNH is only three hours away from my hometown, I never truly felt like I was stepping out of my comfort zone. Every state and most towns ... I learned SO much from this experience. I was never very interested in outdoorsy activities or knew much about NZ before I went so I was really stepping outside my comfort zone.
