Direct Enrollment/Exchange is a program provider offering 1872 abroad programs. Programs offered include Study Abroad, Internship, Volunteer, Intensive Language, Gap Year, Graduate Program, High School, Research, Online Program, TEFL Courses, and Adventure Travel abroad programs in 121 countries such as Spain, Venezuela, Belgium, and International Summer Schools.
Below you will find a directory of foreign universities and reviews from students who participated in an exchange, or in direct enrollment.
In a Direct Enrollment program, students have the option of applying directly to the university they wish to attend abroad. Students can go for either one or two semesters and apply using that university's application process listed for international students. Sometimes these students are called Visiting Students, Guest Students or Free Movers. At the foreign university, they will be supported by the university's office of international students, housed with other international students and have the opportunity not only to immerse in a foreign culture, but to do so with students from all over the world.
In an Exchange, you attend a foreign university and a foreign student attends your home university, a student swap for a semester or year. Your university will handle the details of the exchange, you just need to find the ideal foreign university. Hopefully the listings and reviews below can help you down that path. You will need to contact your university's study abroad department or your academic advisor for details on the exchange because the number of valid/active exchange partners may be very limited.

"Yes. It was always easy to talk about how much I missed the US and wanted to be in the US, but no matter how ridiculous and different it was, it was pretty amazing."

"On my travels, I realize that despite some countries being under-developed, they showed a sense of humility and pride. But most people from the west (like other exchange students) don't have that, nor do they understand that different cultures have different ways of perceiving and living life. Please be culturally respectful ..."

"Maybe Otaru isn't Tokyo or Kyoto. But if you really want to get to know a culture more Otaru is a great place to start. The people I met are really the ones that made this experience so great for me, and now I know I will always have a connection to a small place in Japan. "
Jenna I University of South Dakota
"My semester in Australia was the most amazing time of my life. I learned so much about the culture and most importantly, myself. I met people from all over the world, made friends I will keep forever, and saw places I never dreamed of. I would never trade the experience I had and I would recommend this to anyone in a second."

"My study abroad experience was great. I had an opportunity to go back to Ghana after seven years. As a senior in college and looking back I have grown, learned about myself, and lived more in those six months than I ever had. The experience was a lot more than I expected and that only made it better. I am more outgoing and i..."

"Most wonderful experience of my life. Fair warning, dealing with PC's abroad office is painful but worth the hassle. Don't be daunted by the inefficiency of the office, the overall experience is worth the stress."
Kathleen A Providence College
"My study abroad experience was more than worthwhile. I feel that if I hadn't gone abroad I would not have been half the person I am now. Like any student I've learned about other cultures through books and haven't been able to experience them firsthand. In Pietermaritzburg, I could go to class at noon, learn about rock art, a..."

"It was worthwhile times 20! I gained knowledge of Spanish, independence, more confidence, much more wisdom. I would not have traded this trip for anything else. Samford really knows how to do these trips right, and another cliché one could add to this is, "You get what you pay for." Although these trips are pricey through Samfor..."
