Direct Enrollment/Exchange is a program provider offering 1872 abroad programs. Programs offered include Study Abroad, Internship, Volunteer, Intensive Language, Gap Year, Graduate Program, High School, Research, Online Program, TEFL Courses, and Adventure Travel abroad programs in 121 countries such as Spain, Venezuela, Belgium, and International Summer Schools.
Below you will find a directory of foreign universities and reviews from students who participated in an exchange, or in direct enrollment.
In a Direct Enrollment program, students have the option of applying directly to the university they wish to attend abroad. Students can go for either one or two semesters and apply using that university's application process listed for international students. Sometimes these students are called Visiting Students, Guest Students or Free Movers. At the foreign university, they will be supported by the university's office of international students, housed with other international students and have the opportunity not only to immerse in a foreign culture, but to do so with students from all over the world.
In an Exchange, you attend a foreign university and a foreign student attends your home university, a student swap for a semester or year. Your university will handle the details of the exchange, you just need to find the ideal foreign university. Hopefully the listings and reviews below can help you down that path. You will need to contact your university's study abroad department or your academic advisor for details on the exchange because the number of valid/active exchange partners may be very limited.

"Yes, it was worth it"
Aliyyah A Wellesley College
"My time at Oxford taught me how to think critically, manage my time effectively, and approach challenges independently. The tutorial system pushed me to develop my research and writing skills while articulating and defending my ideas during one-on-one discussions. Beyond academics, I gained a deeper appreciation for British cult..."

"Through my very worthwhile experience studying abroad at KAIST, I gained the independence I would not have found back home in Boston. Being on my own in a foreign country allowed me to find my way through matters that my livelihood depended on, such as getting around via public transportation and opening a Korean bank account. S..."

"I do feel like I improved my philosophical thinking, reading, and writing abilities. However, I am not sure this was worth my general lackluster experience. "
A student Wellesley College

A student Wellesley College
"The two biggest things I learned were in regards to culture and politics. With culture, I gained great insight from people I spoke to around town, my professors and classmates. This included local phrases, different eating habits, and by the end I was laughing at jokes that only Greeks would understand. In terms of politics, my ..."

A student Wellesley College
"The campus is full of international students. Just by speaking with them, you'll learn so much about the country they are from that you never would have otherwise. Their perspectives on the world and politics and culture are truly invaluable, I didn't have a dull conversation the entire time. In doing so, I learned how much Amer..."
Abram R Middlebury College
"I learned a lot about independent study and what it looks like across different subject areas seeing as the University of Bristol program aimed to motivate independent study among students. It is something I had hoped to experience when applying and can say it is an experience I hope to implement in my studies at Brandeis going ..."
A student Brandeis University
"YES! I learned just as much about people, meal prep, budgeting, sharing living spaces, making friends, travel, European culture, and Scottish culture as I did anything from my classes. I think thats why I like abroad: only part of the education comes from the classes, and so the whole time you are learning since the experience o..."

Isaac K Brandeis University
"This was an amazing experience, I would 100% recommend to anyone considering this program. There is a vast variety of courses available. Through this program I was able to take courses that I would not have been able to take at Wellesley. "
