IPSL programs are based on a Global-Experiential-Educational experience with opportunities for participants that include study abroad, internships, fieldwork, preceptorships, volunteering, intensive language, gap year, graduate study, and research. In short, IPSL provides opportunities for you to connect deeply with people and social change organizations all over the world.
"I learned more about the world and myself in those four months than I ever thought was possible. I absorbed the culture through the language, volunteering, the food, people, and utterly breathtaking geography. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that I will never forget." -- Kyle S.
IPSL programs are founded on international partnerships that eliminate boundaries between academia and society, and intentionally attune students’ learning experiences to the challenges and opportunities of today’s world. Their unique educational environment is characterized by intellectual rigor through scholarship, service and practice, openness, reciprocity, creativity, the desire to make a positive difference, and the skills and determination for empowerment.
Since 1981, IPSL has facilitated over 471,000 volunteer hours in our partner communities, supported the work of hundreds of nonprofits and NGOs around the world. IPSL reinvests, on average, 83% of their annual revenues directly back into the communities where they learn and serve.
Make a difference with your time abroad. IPSL is small by choice, impactful by nature and culturally sensitive by necessity. Join them on your journey...
“It was genuinely one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life, and it wouldn't have been possible without the staff at IPSL genuinely striving to "make my dreams come true," as they do for each student that joins their programs." Brenda H.
