Study Abroad with ISEP Exchange
"It really has made me more open minded about other cultures and their traditions. I am more outspoken and independent as a person. It has matured me quite a bit. I loved speaking Spanish all the time, so I would love to have a career in a foreign country."
Molly A Nebraska Wesleyan University
"Yes it was worth while...Would do it again in a heartbeat ( however this is a very long survey) "
Nourbese F San Jose State University
"Studying abroad in South Korea was an incredibly worthwhile experience, and I would recommend it to any student interested in participating in the program. The mix of academics and top notch quality of life, while still having a chance to have a foreign experience in a country that has significant cultural differences from weste..."
Andrew J San Jose State University
"It obviously was worthwhile. All more or less prolonged stayings abroad regardless of a country is very very educational and interesting in terms of meeting new people, learning new culture, learning different way of lives. "
Elena Z San Jose State University
"My semester in Japan was incredibly challenging. I was homesick almost the whole time, and often felt lonely and lost. However, I had some great times as well and made friends with whom I am still in contact. Although it was difficult, I consider my time in Japan one of the best of my life and I would totally make the decision t..."

"It was great, but for the price AIESEC is much more economical. "

"This was certainly a worthwhile experience. I feel much more prepared for whatever I choose to do in life, because I am more independent and know what I can accomplish when I am in a new environment. I learned that I am really the one who gets to make my decisions, and I learned that through experience with travels, classes,an..."

"There was a lot for me to overcome, so it took me a long time to adjust, and I don't know if I ever did completely. I never felt grounded with a network or friends while in India. I did not feel connected to the rest of campus. However, I learned so much about ideals and mentalities, and how judgmental we accidentally are. I lea..."

"Being abroad just opened my eyes to the world around me. I am more aware of my surrounding of other cultures and it made me get interested in studying other cultures. I made tons of friends that are friends for lifetime. Working with the French and not only them but students from other countries was such a good learning experie..."

"It was an excellent way to learn German. When you are forced to speak another language you learn very quickly. Also Germany was a nice central location in Europe for traveling around the continent. "
Scott H Nebraska Wesleyan University
"It was definitely worthwhile. I would change my advisor and school, but ISEP was so great and the Mexican people were fabulous--and Inger was beyond incredible. I learned that I, not only, need to be more educated about what's going on in the world, but also what's going on in the states. I considered myself to be politically..."
Allison H Nebraska Wesleyan University
"My study abroad experience was absolutely worthwhile. I felt it was character building in a positive way. I feel more empowered, confident in myself, and happy that I did an experience such as this. I am much more open minded and understanding of different cultures now. I think Americans can be quite closed minded. "
Andrew C Hamline University
"Yes! My only regret is that I didn't go for an entire year. I've become a global citizen, become more independent and confident and I see the world through different eyes. I feel like I can go anywhere alone and do anything. It was a once in a lifetime experience that I think everyone should participate in. I made lifelong frien..."
Tescia V Hamline University
"It was truly the best extended experience of my life. I learned a lot about who I was, gained confidence, had so much fun I don't even have to the time to rehash the stories I could tell, met people from all over the world, developed a better understanding of global/cultural differences, and made some of the best friends I've ev..."
Matthew D Nebraska Wesleyan University
"YES! I became more confident and sure of myself and got a good perspective of life. It really opens up your eyes to all the wonderful and terrible things in the world and forces you to learn and grow."
Kimberly K Nebraska Wesleyan University
"During my first semester I really felt the whole thing was a waste of time. But I think if I hadn't done it I would have wondered and wished I had done it. Plus, the friends I made are amazing. If for nothing else I'm glad I did it for the friends I made. Academically it really was not worth it. I didn't get to take the classes..."
Esther M New Mexico State University
"I gained some really close friends. Although I didnt aquire the Spanish language as well as I had hoped to, I still learned a lot. Especially about the culture. I really enjoyed traveling and that my boyfriend came to visit. I would study abroad again but not through a program and or stay with a host family. "
Hannah B Nebraska Wesleyan University
"No matter where you go, studying in a different country away from your friends and family is a unique experience that will change you. In a way I still haven't grasped the different ways this experience has affected me. My Spanish improved immensely, I met amazing people, and saw some very beautiful landscapes including mountain..."

"My study abroad experience was so worthwhile. It was absolutely without a doubt the best experience of my life and I wouldn't trade it for anything. I learned so much about myself, about other people, about another culture, getting by when you don't know a language, a culture, or expectations. I learned how to travel better, how..."
