"I learned to enjoy solitude. Most of the people I met in my dorm were not really concerned about anything that I was concerned about. People at the school were not very engaged in their program of study so I spent most of my time by myself. I suppose that is important. "

"It was definitely worth while! I learned that who you travel and spend your time with is the most important thing. And that studying abroad is the best time to go out on a limb and be uncomfortable. Make as many friends as you can while abroad. "

"It was absolutely worthwhile. I learned so much about non Western cultures in general, and felt as though I had a chance to really integrate myself into Indian life. It was definitely an immersive and we were given many opportunities to explore on our own, treated like adults. "

"Learned a tremendous amount about my personal interests, how to live in a city, and walk long, long distances to save money. It was worthwhile, but not ideal. "

"I learned a LOT of geology, and I learned how to deal with unpredictability. Field camp, as rigorous as it was, also taught me that I can do pretty much anything I set my mind to. It wasn't always fun, but it was a good lesson."
