dan.w.reed Middlebury College
"It was very worth while. I learned how to fully emerge myself in a culture that is quite different then our own. I also learned how to be patient with the differences between American and Australian culture"
A student Middlebury College
"I learned a lot about my study habits and what type of teaching I enjoy. I also learned how to navigate a much different social scene than I was used to. I think the opportunity to gain these skills was worthwhile"

A student Middlebury College

"It was a good experience to live on my own and take spanish classes but If I were to go abroad again I would stay clear of Middlebury Programs with American students. Nobody spoke spanish outside of class. "

"It was definitely worthwhile, though the academics were disappointing. "
A student Middlebury College

student3000 Middlebury College
"I learned a ton about Aus. Also learned a bunch about different perspectives in politics and philosophy that are less American. Went traveling a fair amount which was amazing. SE Asia and NZ were great."
A student Middlebury College
"I definitely learned to open up more. I enjoyed making friends and working in class with people who grew up across an ocean from me but were really quite similar. "
A student Middlebury College
"I learned how to deal with loneliness and find happiness in small accomplishments. Iceland is an incredibly unique place with so much to see. Unfortunately, travel is expensive (no real public transportation, car rental required) and choosing Iceland as a study abroad location means giving up the whole "traveling through Europe"..."
Katherine S Middlebury College
"I learned more about theatre in the 4 months I was abroad than I had ever before. I made friends who I know I will have forever. I was exposed to a new culture and new theatre very different from that in the U.S."
A student Middlebury College
"I got out of rural vermont for a semester. Yes"
A student Middlebury College
"I learned how to be independent and responsible in a time where its very easy to act irresponsibly and become lazy. It's all about having fun but recognizing that you still have certain things you need to take care of. "

"My time abroad was worthwhile. I loved the people I was with and the people I met. However, I cannot get over the block that I am a student first, and as a student the program somewhat failed me. "
A student Middlebury College
"I was able to travel a lot and see many other cultures. It was worthwhile and I loved it. "
A student Middlebury College
"I gained a sense of independence and cultural immersion, a sense of self and self-respect, and amazing friends I will have my whole life. I loved India so much as a culture. I wouldn't do the program again only because I think that Delhi is one of the worst locations in India, and other programs in different cities would be more..."
