"Gave me a new perspective on the world and myself. I found out how little I knew about not only Australia but America as well. Gaining an international perspective is a little scary at first but interesting and worthwhile in the end because it makes you see the other side to the story. "

"I have become FAR more independent as well as responsible. I now know that I could take on so many challenges in life, by myself, because I just lived in a foreign country, with a language I didn't know and was able to do it for four months...and made it a memory that is engraved in my mind. "
Elizabeth R Providence College
"Absolutely. My study abroad experience was much more culturally enriching than I ever thought it could be. I was nervous and skeptical before I left the United States, but I am so happy that I chose to step out of my comfort zone and go to Barcelona."

"ABSOLUTELY. The way I look at Italy and America is so different than when I first came, for the better. I appreciate things i took for granted in America and I really learned to respect the Italian way of life. "

"I definitely became much more independent having to navigate a city by myself. I had never been outside the country before so this was a great experience overall. I definitely want to travel more in Europe now and eventually go back to Barcelona. "

MEGAN M Providence College
"Absolutely. People say that you will always have your friends from college, but I feel that way about study abroad. I met some of the most interesting people and made some of my greatest friendships. "
Jessica D Providence College
"I'm Type-A and am a leader and like to be in control, but the most important lessons I learned were about how to relax, embrace a new culture, be a team player, roll with the punches and adapt to the unexpected, and view life in terms of "big picture" concepts making me reevaluate my priorities. "
Sarah M Providence College
"I had thought that I wanted to live in Guayaquil for at least some of my life and this trip just confirmed for me that the positive aspects of the city outweigh the negative aspects. Having an internship there gave me a foot in the door if I want a job with them in the future. "

"Yes. It taught me a lot of personal things about myself, my limits, my abilities, my strengths and weaknesses...it challenged my limits definitely. It increased my independence. "Absolutely worthwhile. I am really happy I chose Denmark because it allowed me to see a part of the world that not too many people see or even think to see. It was really neat having essentially one study abroad program within Copenhagen, allowing us to have 700 kids in our program and have a unifying thing! "
Kylie M Providence College
"I gained a different understanding of the United States and different countries of the world. It impacted my cultural awareness because now I know there is a different way to live life, that our way of living life may not be the best way and through cultural interactions we can learn a different way to live from the traditional ..."

"I became much more independent and much more open to different ways of thinking. I have never been in a non-religious school, so the BU london was a first for me. "Studying abroad was the best thing that I have done thus far in my career. It was a great opportunity to learn about new cultures and develop an appreciation for these cultures. I became more independent and confident as a person and learned more about myself in 4 months than I ever have previously."
Ericka K Providence College
"Never did I think I was going to be exposed to so many different cultures, race, backgrounds, values or personalities.
