"Entirely worth it, I just can't wait to get back. I understand myself better after challenging myself throughout my stay, am more confident from getting around on my own in a foreign environment and was able to put everything in perspective by leaving the US for a little while. The most important thing for me, in terms of my C..."

"Absolutely. My program was overpriced, but not as expensive as many programs I looked at. The 6-week program is perfect for someone looking to get the benefits of studying abroad in a short amount of time: in my case, I'm a big homebody but love to travel, so it was just the right amount of time away from home. I feel like st..."

"Yes my study abroad experience was definitely worthwhile, having visited mostly latin cultures being thrust into a central european/ eastern european culture was incredibly rewarding. I learned so much about the history and the traditions held there and was truly intrigued by it. In the future i would like to go abroad again mor..."

"I loved my time abroad. Most of what I learned was not in the classroom. One experience that really stuck with me was when I met my friend Ahmed. I was at an erasmus party (european exchange students) with some friends. I was the only American in the room. Ahmed was the only other non-European. I didn't know where he was from ex..."

"My experience was absolutely amazing. I learned to fully put myself into a culture and that to be okay with feeling uncomfortable. I learned to live life slowly with no fear of the future. You will learn to love those around you, truly live in the moment and appreciate the beauty of life. "
Elaine H The University of Texas at Austin

"I enjoyed studying abroad, but it did not change me or my future plans. I had lived abroad before and had had many of the experiences of learning to travel and be self-sufficient in a foreign country already. Barcelona was very touristy and very Americanized feeling and though there were a lot of places to seek culture, I did no..."
Claire G The University of Texas at Austin
"This was my first time truly on my own and in a country with such a truly different culture. It was eye-opening and great fun. It has made me consider working or studying abroad again for a short time."
Chloe W The University of Texas at Austin
"I came to Denmark with what I now see was a skewed view of the world. I realized how uncultured I really was at often felt embarrassed when the Danes knew more about political on goings in my own country than I did. It was an eye opening experience. The Danes are also a very honest, trusting and genuine people. I loved every minu..."

"YES. I am now a huge study abroad advocate. I think that everyone should live in a different culture, because you learn a lot about yourself, about your relationships, about your goals, and about other people. I am looking for a way to move back to Europe after college, and would love to live there permanently. Living in Par..."

"I learned a lot during my time abroad. I learned about a different culture, I learned more Spanish and I learned how people function in developing countries. I was certainly impressed by some aspects of public health in the Dominican Republic, so much that I think we can learn a thing or two from them here in America. I also ..."
Mohammed M The University of Texas at Austin
