Trinity University
University Information
The Study Abroad program at Trinity University is designed to be accessible and flexible. With proper planning, students from every major can study abroad productively in many different countries around the world as a part of their degree.
This is possible because Trinity's program is based on individually advising each student so that the term abroad becomes an integral part of the degree that meets academic, personal, and professional goals. As a result Trinity students participate in a wide variety of academic experiences abroad from studying in a foreign university classroom to academic internships to intensive language study to field studies - or a some combination of these things.

"I came back from abroad lightyears ahead of where I was before I left. Friends and family have commented on how much I have grown as a person and matured. It is impossible to go abroad and not come back changed. I am still the same person with the same set of values and the same personality, but I know myself better and the way ..."

"It's amazing how many things you begin to see and understand about your own culture when you move to another. I am able to view American culture more objectively now and I have a wonderful appreciation for French culture, history, and language. Being forced to speak to strangers in a foreign language and dealing with the other s..."

"Yes the experience was worthwhile. I got a new understanding of what it was like living in a new culture. One of the national languages may have been English but there were so many differences between New Zealand English and USA English. This experience made me aware that I would like to go abroad and visit so many other countri..."

"Definitely worthwhile. I now have better time management, and a clearer understanding of the research and scientific paper writing process and I got to do/see so many things that I would have never seen in a traditional university setting. In terms of career plans, I now know that field research in the tropics isn't what I'm cut..."

Nhi-Jaimie P Trinity University
"I am much more calm now; I've learned to prioritize and see big picture, making coming back to small-school drama very difficult. While some would avoid an experience abroad with so many Americans, I learned a lot about myself by being around so many people with similar tastes for travel and exploration. I wouldn't change a thin..."

"Overall it was an experience of a lifetime. I had problems with my host family, but even with that I gained a lot from living with them. By studying with CIEE, my Spanish has improved and I have gained insight into a different dialect I had no previous knowledge of. I also learned a lot about the culture and subcultures of Ar..."
Michael J Trinity University
"YES! I have a much better sense of self and my abilities. I made so many friends, both American and local, and shared experiences with them that no one else will be able to understand. I learned so much about Italian culture and history, more than I realized until I came home and still caught myself concentrating to people in st..."
Elizabeth H Trinity University
"To be honest, a huge reason of why my experience was worthwhile was because I became part of the Central London Ministry church. I got to know lots of British people, as well as people from different parts of the world. Honestly, the program didn't have much to do with my satisfaction rating. I guess what I'm trying to say is ge..."
