Trinity University
University Information
The Study Abroad program at Trinity University is designed to be accessible and flexible. With proper planning, students from every major can study abroad productively in many different countries around the world as a part of their degree.
This is possible because Trinity's program is based on individually advising each student so that the term abroad becomes an integral part of the degree that meets academic, personal, and professional goals. As a result Trinity students participate in a wide variety of academic experiences abroad from studying in a foreign university classroom to academic internships to intensive language study to field studies - or a some combination of these things.

"Definately. I would go abroad again in a heartbeat. Especially to Ireland - I think I fell in love with the place. I had friends that had gone abroad before, and after having gone myself, I know exactly what they were talking about when they said I would not regret the decision!"

"Yes. There were lots of times when I hated being there and I just wanted to go back home. But in a weird way, I kind of like that. It lets me appreciate my home a lot more. Cambodia definitely has some beautiful sights and the Khmer are great people. But there's so much pollution and trash everywhere. It really got to me."
Tyler S Trinity University
"Most definitely. I traveled, went to tons of museums, met Greeks, ate a lot of great food, cooked a lot of great food. I would do it all over again in a heartbeat if I could. I learned that I am capable of just about anything and adjusting to anything, as well. "

"It was amazingly worthwhile... I went there focused, stressed, and feeling like graduate school was already pressing down on me as a junior. I left relaxed, more independent, and feeling like I can do anything in the way I want. I don't have to listen to others and do what they want me to do, it is possible to be independent! "

"Looking back on it I kind of wish I would have gone to a warmer and more culturally distinct country like Spain. I do not enjoy cold weather even though I am from Sweden. I am happy I studied in Scotland though, I learned a lot about myself and their educational system. I feel like I have become a more efficient student because ..."

"Definitely worthwhile! I learned more about the country of Chile, and more about myself as well. I feel like I learned a lot and I am so glad that I did it. It also impacted my views on what I want to potentially go into as a career."

"Everything was indeed worthwhile because it all became a wonderful thing. Even getting lost or feeling unsure of things was nice because it was good to see a side of myself that could only be there when I was lost or unsure. I enjoyed that and for that reason I would do it again and go somewhere new next time. "

"I felt like I gained so much independence. I learned more about Europe by going on my own rather than going with a best friend or family. I think my greatest accomplishment was teaching myself to navigate the underground in a short amount of time, as well as traveling to France on my own. That was difficult in more than one sens..."

"If I could go on this program every summer for the rest of my life I would do it. The directors were phenomenal, the activities were always fun and so well-organized, the classes were stimulating, the people were welcoming, I could go on and on. I think it's very important for everyone to travel and see other peoples' lives in o..."

"My abroad experience did little for me from an "academic" stand point. That is not to say I didn't learn, though. An amalgamation of immersion and traveling and chaos led to an eventual appreciation for the variety of lifestyles and broadness of culture. Every experience I had was a learning experience and I took away something ..."

"The differences in Costa Rica and the United States inspired various writings, and stimulated ideas. It gave me the belief that travelling isn't nearly as hard as I initially thought. I could do it any time to just about any place. The various activities in Costa Rica have given me the desire to explore my own town and region mo..."
