"I improved my Arabic and built some lasting relationships with Jordanians and Americans. It was worthwhile. "
Alexander Z Tufts University
"I had literally the most amazing time of my life and I am such a better person for my time abroad. "
Kailah Tufts University
"It was very worthwhile. I learned how to be independed and can handle things by myself now. I learned a new country, a new place, and saw more than I will ever see again."
buaddaa Tufts University
"ABSOLUTELY! I can't stress enough that if you even think that you might possibly want to go abroad, you should just do it. It's worth it. Also don't be surprised when your friends at Tufts who haven't gone yet or aren't going get all needy and want you to talk to them all the time--just remind them that you are spending half you..."

"I gained a sense of myself as a traveler, a student, and an adult in a way that I did not yet see at Tufts. I am more aware of my surroundings, what I like to do and see, and how I relate to new people. I also fell in love with Italy and its lifestyle and culture, and learned that studying art involves much more than a textbook ..."

"This program is amazing, and I highly recommend it! I wasn't very impressed with the academics, but the travel experiences and everything absolutely make up for it. This was the best year of my life and one of the best decisions I have ever made"
Melissa L Tufts University
"It was definitely an experience. It was great getting to see a completely different culture and language, as well as being able to use my French language skills. I got to incorporate biology and environmental studies into my work which was what I was looking for. It also made me really expand my horizons - we spent a week in a v..."

"I'm so glad I did this program. I fell in love with London, and I'm probably moving back there when I graduate. While I had already traveled all over Europe, it gave other people a chance to do that. I learned that their system of education works best for me, and I'm going to apply to grad school there. I got to explore the ..."

"Tufts-in-Oxford is a great program. It's very helpful to be in a Tufts program, since you get to utilize the Tufts resources and stay connected with the Tufts community while studying abroad. Oxford is an intense but rewarding academic experience. Obviously, don't go into the program if you're not ready to work hard (but if y..."

"Yes, it was certainly worthwhile. My spanish improved greatly, and I had the opportunity to travel so much. I do now know when I will ever (or if I will ever be able) to live in another country for such an extended period of time. So I'm so glad that I went and stayed for 6 months...and hopefully, I'll be able to go to Sevill..."

"Absolutely. "

"As cliche as it is, my abroad experience was a wonderful time that I wouldn't change for a second. I gained independence, a set of differing viewpoints, and a better worldview. It also helped me think about my future as I involved myself in activities that might enlighten my career paths and graduate school choices. "
Adam R Tufts University
"It was everything a European study abroad should be, a new language, history and art, nightlife, travel, sufficiently challenging but not overwhelming classes and nice people. I improved my Spanish, learned a lot about Spanish culture, saw a little bit of Europe and realized I would love to spend more time in Spain and Europe. "
Mary L Tufts University
"Yes, it was. I gained so much that is intangible that it's almost worthless to try and describe it here. It's a very personal experience. The one thing I would say is that it made me a more confident, expressive person and a lot less worried about the opinions of others. I think I'm just happier with life now. "
Alexander C Tufts University
"Absolutely worth every penny. I gained experience dealing with cultures and places I wasn't used to, I gained a good deal of independence learning to take care of my own food supply (though I generally hated doing so!), I learned that time alone just spent wandering can be very rewarding, I learned that I can plan trips on my o..."

"Yes, it was very worthwhile. I gained a lot of perspective on how other cultures function (London especially, but also from travel to other countries in Europe)."
Carlyn B Tufts University
"I had never been to Europe before, I was able to travel all over and experience a new culture. It was great."
MS897 Tufts University
"It is definitely worthwhile. I would do it again in a minute!"
Eleonora Tufts University
"God yes. It's changed everything and made me want to live abroad for a while."

"A new and interesting perspective not only on Latin America, but on my life here in the United States as well. I learned the important lesson that its perfectly healthy, and important, to make a fool of yourself! When you are out of your element you learn the most. "
