A student Wellesley College
"It was definitely worthwhile. I got to know a lot of really great people from all over the world. I did some magnificent hiking, and had a great time! Saw tons of penguins, seals, and sea lions. I also got my first taste of traveling solo, and found it an enjoyable and empowering experience."
A student Wellesley College
"I was able to learn how to live on my own and deal with paying rent, signing leases, and planning trips. While these are extremely valuable skills I wish had had more time to enjoy the experience and not worry so much about money while I was there. "
A student Wellesley College
"My favorite part was traveling. I would choose a different program if I could do it all over again just so I could improve on my French or Spanish, but this is just a matter of personal goals / preference. Living in London was super fun as well. "
Seowoo L Wellesley College
"I learned the limitations of my interests in the Arabic language itself. My love of the culture and history took a backseat to the language pledge, which I knew going into the program, but had not fully thought through. "
A student Wellesley College
"Learned quite a bit about my privilege as an American who attends a liberal arts school in a safe town--it is amazing that as a female I can walk outside after dark and feel safe (not true for so many women in Cape Town). Also opened my eyes to several aspects of white privilege that I had never considered before. "

"It was worthwhile in a sense and not so much in others. I wish I had more support but I think the lack of it was a silver lining because it allowed a lot of time for myself and I really got to know my strengths and capabilities and forced me to confront myself in hard situations. "

"Language skills, learning about the culture, traveling."
K S Wellesley College
"Definitely gave me a taste of what a UK college would have been like for me. It was far too short to fully integrate, however I feel as though I got what I wanted from the program itself. "
Brodie M Wellesley College
"I gained a newfound confidence in my ability to adapt to different situations, and also the savoir faire to navigate large cities. UCL pushed me out of my comfort zone in terms of it being such a large institution, but I was able to navigate the school without feeling lost or disconnected. It was very worth it, and I've decide..."

A student Wellesley College
"I loved delving deeper into Japanese culture, particularly with a city as rich in tradition as Kyoto. While the program has its weak points along with the strong, I felt that I improved my Japanese, gained a deeper appreciation for Japanese culture and fell in love with the city of Kyoto."
Emily S Wellesley College
"I gained self-confidence. i faced many challenges while studying abroad and the fact that I managed, in the end, to find a way to succeed makes me feel prepared to deal with future challenges confidently. "A better college experience"
A student Wellesley College
"I matured a lot and gained independence being abroad. At the LSE, the academic and administrative system is very different from what I'm used to in the states and at times I felt like nobody really cared for you. However, this pushed me to adopt this "solve your own problems" mentality and gave me more confidence as well. I trav..."
