Argentina taught me the importance of slowing down and taking a look around. My time abroad was life changing in the best ways possible. - Wake Forest University View Entire Review
I feel like I learned a lot about myself. Going abroad for a full semester is not easy. Some days you get frustrated and homesick. But I would not trade it. I feel like Argentina became my home and I was so sad to leave. Argentina will put you out of your comfort zone. It is not as americanized as Europe. I feel like I gained a ... - The University of Texas at Austin View Entire Review
My experience abroad was great and Buenos Aires is the coolest place to go. South America is very different than Europe but that is what makes it interesting. You can easily travel to Chile and hike or ski (in the summer). There are a lot of outdoor things to do. Buenos Aires is also a huge city with tons of city things to do as... - The University of Texas at Austin View Entire Review
Studying abroad in Buenos Aires with IES was one of the most enjoyable and lasting experiences I've had in college. Paradoxically, although the demand of the classes in terms of grade rewards are moderately low, I felt that my semester accounted for some of the most important and accelerated learning processes I've had in colle... - University of Rochester View Entire Review
Past Review I Love Ba!!
It was absolutely worthwhile. I gained new perspectives on different ways of life, and learned a lot about myself from being on my own and being independent. - Brown University View Entire Review
It is hard to sum up what I learned in words. I learned about different cultures and different ways of life. I learned how to go with the flow and really enjoy everything. I learned how to plan and travel places I had never imagined going (try sitting in a boat in the middle of Patagonia with a GIANT whale under you). It was 100... - Trinity University View Entire Review
I absolutely loved living in Buenos Aires and wish I could have lived there for more than a semester. It definitely was worthwhile and I can't wait to go back. - University of the Pacific View Entire Review
I learned an incredible amount about myself, the Spanish language and Latin American politics. I think most importantly I learned how to be adventurous while being safe. - Trinity University View Entire Review
I learned so much about myself and about appreciating other cultures. I matured a lot and gained some of the coolest friends that I will definitely be in contact with for life. SO WORTHWHILE! Even if it's not Argentina (although it should...), go abroad!!! Best experience ever. - University of Arkansas - Fayetteville View Entire Review

I learned about the culture, the politics, the language and most importantly about life and myself! - Wittenberg University View Entire Review
I wouldn't change the experience at all just because of what it taught me. I don't rate it 10 stars because my experience was perfect. There were days where I didn't like Argentina, and I wanted to go home, and I felt lonely and disconnected and lost. BUT. There was such value in it from the beginning. I learned a lot about myse... - Trinity University View Entire Review
The semester that I spent in Buenos Aires, Argentina was by far the most memorable and valuable experiences I have ever had. I lived in Argentina from July to December of 2014 with an Argentine host family who were spectacular. Along with my host family I was assisted by IES with getting accustomed to the city and learning h... - University of Michigan - Ann Arbor View Entire Review

I learned what is it is like to live in a huge city, experienced another culture, and what it is like to live in a country that is different than the US. It was worthwhile. - Ohio Wesleyan University View Entire Review

I loved the IES program, I only put "no" because there were other American kids we mixed and met with from other International Programs and I would be curious to know what kind of experiences those are. - The University of Texas at Austin View Entire Review
Definitely worthwhile- I learned a lot about myself and what makes me happy and what I enjoy doing, as well as what kinds of challenges are productive. I want to work internationally later in life, so volunteering with a local NGO helped me better understand office culture there and what international NGOs look like. And obvious... - Duke University View Entire Review
I learned so much about myself from my time abroad. I am more independent and have been more confident of myself. I've also learned how to make anything happen if I'm determined. - Trinity University View Entire Review
I enjoyed my Latin American Politics class and my Cultural Studies class, but I found the overall program lacking when it came to cultural immersion. I felt like I was on a very long tourist vacation for much of my experience. This is largely due to the fact that all of the students are from the United States and are very young ... - University of the Pacific View Entire Review
My spanish definitely improved and I learned how to be street smart. Living in Buenos Aires gives you an appreciation for the little things. - The University of Texas at Austin View Entire Review
In addition to learning about Argentina and South America, I learned a lot about what it means to be American in today's world. I learned a lot about who I am and what my role is in a global environment. Going abroad was one of the best things I have ever done for myself. - Fordham University View Entire Review
