Students can choose from a variety of options, including bilateral exchanges, summer terms, internships, and service-learning programs—all designed to encourage cross-cultural understanding and academic growth.
The Francis and Louise Hutchins Center for International Education (CIE) is the hub for Berea’s global initiatives, providing guidance, resources, and advising to help students navigate their study abroad journey. Options include semester exchanges, Berea International Summer Term (BIST) faculty-led programs, and short-term experiences offered during winter or summer breaks. Each program is designed to align with academic requirements while promoting cultural immersion and personal development. With dedicated advisors, peer support, and funding opportunities, Berea College empowers students to design meaningful and transformative global experiences.
