Direct Enrollment/Exchange is a program provider offering 1872 abroad programs. Programs offered include Study Abroad, Internship, Volunteer, Intensive Language, Gap Year, Graduate Program, High School, Research, Online Program, TEFL Courses, and Adventure Travel abroad programs in 121 countries such as Spain, Venezuela, The United Kingdom, and Ireland.
Below you will find a directory of foreign universities and reviews from students who participated in an exchange, or in direct enrollment.
In a Direct Enrollment program, students have the option of applying directly to the university they wish to attend abroad. Students can go for either one or two semesters and apply using that university's application process listed for international students. Sometimes these students are called Visiting Students, Guest Students or Free Movers. At the foreign university, they will be supported by the university's office of international students, housed with other international students and have the opportunity not only to immerse in a foreign culture, but to do so with students from all over the world.
In an Exchange, you attend a foreign university and a foreign student attends your home university, a student swap for a semester or year. Your university will handle the details of the exchange, you just need to find the ideal foreign university. Hopefully the listings and reviews below can help you down that path. You will need to contact your university's study abroad department or your academic advisor for details on the exchange because the number of valid/active exchange partners may be very limited.

"It was very worthwhile and I wouldn't change a thing about it. I became more aware of the world and different cultures. "Yes, studying abroad was absolutely worthwhile. You learn to appreciate things that we have here in America and the way other people around the world live. Studying abroad gives you a more well rounded view of the world and current issues. Hong Kong is a great place to study because it accepts foreigners, yet is an exotic exp..."

"I'd do it all again in a heartbeat, the city itself is an amazing and unique setting in developing China. While providing an international feel, the city itself has the unique ability of being able to enjoy a slower life pace than other metropolitan cities in the world, perhaps due to the presence of the city's historic culture..."
Jeremy J University of Mississippi

"After traveling abroad, I can't see continuing my education without at least one international experience each year. "I loved studying abroad and would recommend it to anyone who is thinking about doing it. It was definitely the best thing I have done in my life. "I loved my time abroad. Most of what I learned was not in the classroom. One experience that really stuck with me was when I met my friend Ahmed. I was at an erasmus party (european exchange students) with some friends. I was the only American in the room. Ahmed was the only other non-European. I didn't know where he was from ex..."

"It was very worthwhile, I learned a lot more there than I do here. However, I did fail two out of the four classes I took due to the single exam at the end that counted for my entire grade in the class. There is no re-do or way to fix it if you are foreign exchange, since makeup and re-do exams are held in August. The experience..."

"My abroad experience has changed my outlook on my future vocational ambitions. I would now like to work in England and will be applying for jobs there come this December. I feel as if I am now more open to world cultures and have more respect for different parts of the world where I otherwise wouldnt have interest. I now have a ..."

"My experience was worthwhile because I discovered what I am capable of doing on my own. I came back and felt much more adult having had done something on my own without the financial support or help of my parents.
