samantha a Trinity University
"I learned that I do not want to go into architecture, but I do want to continue to pursue a career in the creative industry. This was important to know so that I didn't waste my years in grad school pursuing something that I did not want to do! I also learned a lot about Danish/Scandinavian culture. This was really eye-open..."

A student Middlebury College
"Enhanced my cultural awareness outside of the U.S./more about Denmark/Europe. I felt empowered with my independence to do things without having my parents totally informed beforehand or hindering me. It was definitely worthwhile because the experience was priceless. "

"This past semester at DIS was a truly life-changing experience for me. I learned a lot about myself and the world. DIS stresses the point that the best experiences will happen outside of your comfort some, and they could not have been more right. I was challenged in so many ways, but had the time of my life through it all."
A student Wellesley College
"It would do this program a hundred times again. During my stay in Copenhagen, I was able to travel with friends to Sweden, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Holland, Finland!, Portugal, and Belgium. I learned more about Europe, living in a welfare state, architecture, and making foreign friends for a lifetime than I could have ever..."
A student Middlebury College
"I learned how to cook for myself. Actually learned a lot about Renewable and Sustainable Energy, which is really cool. Wouldn't say it was as worthwhile as it would have been if I had been in a foreign language program or in a completely different type of society."

retiredog University of North Carolina - Charlotte
"This is a tough one to sum up, but here it goes. I learned a lot about myself and who I want to be as a grown responsible member of society. I also learned that America isn't the only cool place on Earth, and other people live very different lives but are still very happy. To me Denmark is the utopia I wish we could have here..."
