"Academically, it was a great experience, it wasn't really a 'break' from school like some other programs though. You really are challenged, but in a good way that makes you think in different ways and on different levels. Socially, I met some really great people, maybe not friends for life, but we got along and had some really..."
Emily S Providence College
"Definitely!"
Yi W DePauw University
"It was worthwhile but when I reached Denmark I realized that it didn't fit my personality at all. It really felt like the only kind of social interaction I could have with other students was to go out at night and drink. That is not what I like to do so it was hard to interact with people my age. Not anybody else's fault othe..."
Kelsey H Pacific Lutheran University
"I still haven't fully grasped all the ways I've changed while I've been away, but I know that nothing can begin to compare with my experience abroad, and I fully believe that everyone should make an effort to do any study abroad program they're interested in. "
Colleen R Providence College
"Absolutely"
Katie G Providence College
"I gained insight to who I am as a being while not only learning about Denmark but America as well. I enjoyed the classes and the culture and feeling like an adult. I was able push my boundaries and experience the world."
Ashleigh D Pacific Lutheran University
"Yes! I experienced a different way of living that will definitely stay with me for the rest of my life. The program also helped me realize more specifically what I'm interested in academically. "
Sarah M Wellesley College
"I don't even know where to being. Definitely changed my perspective on the world, different cultures, and my own life and experiences in New Orleans. I don't think it altered my academic path or future plans, except for many more visits to Copenhagen in the future. "
Anonymous A Tulane University
"Yes- but Tulane needs to change their housing options! "
Carolyn C Tulane University
"When I first arrived three months ago, I had little confidence in my ability to thrive in a new environment that required a large amount of independence, maturity and willingness to take risks. Moving to Copenhagen for four months threw me far out of my zone of comfort and familiarity. Beginning when I stepped on the plane in..."

"Yes. The experience of living in another country is invaluable. It teaches you how to challenge yourself and be adaptable "
Emily R Tufts University
"Absolutely, I would not have given this for anything else in the world. I had such a great experience and want to share this experience with fellow students who are planning on studying abroad"
Alex C Providence College
"Definitely! I learned a lot about what makes Denmark such a good country and how America could learn from it. I learned about sexuality in Denmark through one of my classes and I got to have siblings for a while (I'm an only child), which made me very happy"
India K Goucher College
"More than worthwhile!"
Jordan S University of Hartford
"Very worthwhile. It was still a very Westernized experience in a European capital, but Copenhagen and its people have a quirkiness and lifestyle that cannot be found elsewhere. It didn't change any of my future plans, but it did allow me to take a more proactive role in my life (social and academic), to gain independence and to ..."
Alyssa I Rice University
"It was completely worth while. My study abroad experience has influenced my academic career path as well as my plans for my senior project. "
christina a SUNY - Albany
"Great time. Realized that adapting to a new environment is always possible. "
Christopher N Tufts University
"Living in Scandinavia definitely has given me insight and a better understanding of a completely different political system and manner of living than the US. Scandinavians are also very sensitive to weather and their architecture and design reflects this reaction to environmentalism. The AD program itself has helped me re-affir..."
Christina Barrera Maryland Institute College of Art
"I came to Denmark with what I now see was a skewed view of the world. I realized how uncultured I really was at often felt embarrassed when the Danes knew more about political on goings in my own country than I did. It was an eye opening experience. The Danes are also a very honest, trusting and genuine people. I loved every minu..."

"Studying abroad was one of the best things I have ever done. It opened my eyes more than I could have ever imagined and allowed me to cross the boundaries of my own cultural norms and explore something entirely different and foreign. I now have the travel bug; I want to do it again and again and see the whole world. Copenhagen w..."
Elena G University of Hawaii - Manoa
"Going abroad helped me realize that I want to be able to travel more in the States because there are so many places in America that I haven't been to. But of course, I want to return to Europe as well!"
Sarah B Trinity University
"It was extremely worthwhile!! I wouldn't trade the experience for anything. I had never been out of the United States and it really showed me how different the world really is. I loved seeing how relaxed and at ease the citizens of Denmark really are and it showed me why Danes are the happiest people in the world. I made some gr..."

"My study abroad experience was worthwhile. I learned how to live independently, how to live in a foreign city, how to travel in cities and use public transportation. I absolutely feel more culturally aware and more sensitive towards people everywhere. "
