My experienced abroad has changed my interests to think on a global scale for my photography business and think bigger. A lot of the friendships I've made overseas I consider close friends. I travel even more for my photography business to NYC, Chicago, and LA. I was even able to travel back to Rome, Italy in Oct 2010 for a few... Completely. I love it so much I am applying for another semester. Elizabeth K - University of Wisconsin - Madison View Entire Review
It was very worthwhile! I learned a lot about the Italian culture 1st hand. I learned things that you just can't learn from a book. I grew as a person and strengthened my friendships with many of my friends even while being so far away from them. In the end I didn't want to go home! That's very objective and overall a useless question. If anyone says it wasn't worthwhile they have way larger issues to deal with. I can learn from any experience and it was no different. It was enlightening and while there were struggles, every adventure brings different outcomes, it was just another one. Colin B - Michigan State University View Entire Review
During this time frame, you learn the most about yourself; you grow as an individual and see many things in a more mature way. Rebekah J - Gustavus Adolphus College View Entire Review
I wish that my time abroad never ended. It was one of the best decisions that I have ever made. I gained so much independence, flexibility, and knowledge about living in an entirely different culture. I plan on visiting Rome at least 6 more times in my life because it is too amazing of a city to let go after a single study abroa... Kelsey B - University of Miami View Entire Review

I just loved studying abroad. I got to see new cultures and diversity with the world yet still feel a connection with people I met being a normal person like me with religion, political views, social life, and etc. Jordan R - University of Alabama - Tuscaloosa View Entire Review
The study abroad experience has changed my life so profoundly. I gained a confidence I didn't have before that comes only from knowing that you can go out into the world and not only survive it, but have an amazing time in it! It made me more confident to meet people, and more confident that I could make things happen for myself... Ariana C - University of the Pacific View Entire Review

Totally worthwhile. Most valuable experience I've ever had. Meaghan L - Iowa State University View Entire Review
Qualities I learned, definitely would be that there is more to life than the materialistic things back at home and I got a huge understanding and a new perspective of how big the world really is. There are so many people, so many interesting, diverse cultures and I loved absorbing them all. My cultural awareness grew profoundly ... Rome: A Unique, Well Rounded View On The City, And Deeper Insight Into Culture And History
I've become more open-minded, and more prone to taking risks. It has made me a braver and more outgoing person (from living by myself, figuring out how to live on my own, all while knowing that John Cabot would be supporting me if something were to go wrong). Sonali B - Bucknell University View Entire Review
Absolutely. There is no down side to cultural immersion. Yes, there will be things that you don't like. But you become a better person for having been exposed to them. Life is a collection of experiences, good and bad. A semester abroad gives you an abbreviated opportunity to have the life of someone else. You get to live in the... The trajectory of my entire life changed because I studied abroad. And I cannot imagine my life without it now. Since Rome, I've also lived in London and Chicago, and I'm getting ready for a move to NYC. However, I also have more opportunities and travel around the world more frequently, and I'm more conscious of other cultures ... Desiree P - University of the Incarnate Word View Entire Review
