Overall Experience
I loved the people I met, and it was a good university, especially the writing program. But it was hard to see everything I wanted to in europe, and frustrating that there was nothing near the university, with cabs or buses required to get anywhere. - Tulane University View Entire Review

Yes, I learned independence, time management, and friendship. It was a school focused on English. I was able to figure out my thesis project based on the modernism class I took. - Middlebury College View Entire Review

Yes. Living in another country - not just travelling in it, but living - is a very unique experience, and rewarding. - Wellesley College View Entire Review
Absolutely, I wanted to stay for the year. I made many friends and saw places I would not have been able to see. I also really learned to budget and balance my money. - Goucher College View Entire Review
YES! I think I might have been happier in a bigger town, or at least closer to a city where I could travel from but overall I wouldn't have changed it. Norwich is a lovely city and I wish that I had more opportunity to explore it. - Goucher College View Entire Review
It was the best decision of my life! - SUNY - Binghamton View Entire Review

My study abroad experience was everything. It was good and bad, there were happy and sad times. It was not just study abroad, it was my life. I had an incredible time and will be friends with those I met for the rest of my life. - Clark University View Entire Review
It was definitely worthwhile. Academically, I've gained experience doing more personal research, for assignments and to just become more knowledgeable on a topic. Personally, I've gained more self-confidence in myself and my abilities. - Middlebury College View Entire Review

Got to know myself better, got to travel Europe on the month-long Easter break, got to be independent. Hasn't changed my future plans, except that now I feel much more ready to graduate and live new places, try new things etc. - Clark University View Entire Review
Yes it feed my hunger for knowledge - Abroad101 University View Entire Review
I think I learned to relax a little bit more. - Goucher College View Entire Review
Absolutely. If not for the confidence in travel and joy in history and tourism (and the novelty of having an accent that everyone adored), my friendships made my time incredibly more worthwhile and enriching than I ever expected and will have a longer impact on me than I could ever have anticipated. - Trinity University View Entire Review

This program provided me with the opportunity to learn a different culture and lifestyles. Also, due to its geographical location, I was able to travel around Europe during the mid-semester break, thus getting a very good and wide-ranged cultural experience. - Clark University View Entire Review

I learned so much from a cultural perspective and how people can differ heavily despite speaking the same language or not. - SUNY - Binghamton View Entire Review
It was worthwhile. I got to travel a lot during breaks and each course I took provided great education to my geography background. - Clark University View Entire Review

About

The University of East Anglia (UEA) is an internationally renowned UK University that provides top quality academic, social and cultural facilities to students across a range of disciplines.

This uniquely-placed University is a leading member of the Norwich Research Park, one of Europe's biggest concentrations of researchers in the fields of environment, health and plant science. UEA encourages a 'thinking without borders' approach to innovation in both teaching and research. This focus on interdisciplinary collaboration across the University - and with UEA's partner institutes across Norwich Research Park - is one of UEA's strengths and provides an incredibly stimulating environment for students.

UEA also has a long established reputation for innovation and brilliance across the Arts and Humanities. Situated in England's first UNESCO City of Literature, UEA offers a vibrant and supportive environment with year-round literary events, including UEA Live, the Noirwich Crime Writing Festival, and the hugely successful International Literary Festival (with talks from Ian McEwan, Anne Enright, and Noble Prize winner, Kazuo Ishiguro, all alumni of UEA).

UEA is based in the UK's most complete medieval city, Norwich. Recently having been named one of the 'best places to live in the UK' by the Times. With a plethora of quirky shops, independent cafes and one of the largest open-air markets in the UK, Norwich is a city that combines community and culture.
