Direct Enrollment/Exchange is a program provider offering 1872 abroad programs. Programs offered include Study Abroad, Internship, Volunteer, Intensive Language, Gap Year, Graduate Program, High School, Research, Online Program, TEFL Courses, and Adventure Travel abroad programs in 121 countries such as Spain, Venezuela, The United Kingdom, and Ireland.
Below you will find a directory of foreign universities and reviews from students who participated in an exchange, or in direct enrollment.
In a Direct Enrollment program, students have the option of applying directly to the university they wish to attend abroad. Students can go for either one or two semesters and apply using that university's application process listed for international students. Sometimes these students are called Visiting Students, Guest Students or Free Movers. At the foreign university, they will be supported by the university's office of international students, housed with other international students and have the opportunity not only to immerse in a foreign culture, but to do so with students from all over the world.
In an Exchange, you attend a foreign university and a foreign student attends your home university, a student swap for a semester or year. Your university will handle the details of the exchange, you just need to find the ideal foreign university. Hopefully the listings and reviews below can help you down that path. You will need to contact your university's study abroad department or your academic advisor for details on the exchange because the number of valid/active exchange partners may be very limited.

"Would consider working, doing grad work in S. Africa for some time. Being there, such a different place than America, makes you realize that its all real. Everything you see on TV, hear about- the good, the bad, the beautiful- it all exists in S. Africa and if you go there, you couldn't miss it even if you hid in your room all s..."

"My study abroad experience was extremely worthwhile. It helped me to figure out a lot of things about myself and about my wants and desires. Traveling to another country and being immersed in a foreign culture will make you re-evaluate yourself and your world-view. It is an invaluable experience."
Graham N The University of Texas at Austin
"Yes, absolutely. I learned a lot about myself while studying abroad. I think I am more in touch with my true self, and necessarily more independent. It has made me realize, however, that I would not want to settle down far away from my family. "
Nidhi S Columbia University
"The opportunity to study abroad as a student was such an amazing adventure for me. I spent 4 months studying Neuroscience in Sydney, Australia and every single thing about my program exceeded my expectations, as did the location and kindness of the people who helped me along the way - both at ASC and abroad. Learning in a classr..."

"My study abroad experience was completely worthwhile, but I would definitely do a different program or make sure that I was much better prepared the next time around. I was part of the reason that my experience was so frustrating and better preparation would have helped me immensely. But I still say, do it and own your experienc..."
Ashlee F Austin College
"I had a great time. I had spent time in the city of Oxford before, so the culture was not new. It was a great experience to spend such a prolonged time in a different country, though. "
Kyle B Tulane University
"This program reassured the fact that I want to live and work in Africa. The lifestyle fit mine perfectly, and things that are important here are not so important in Southern Africa. There is not an attitude of doing and accomplishing something all the time, it is important to have relationships with those around you and just enj..."

"it is not that I hated LSE, I just did not feel that I was prepared for it. It did push me and I learned a lot, but had to on the fly in order to keep up. London was amazing and I would love to live there again someday. "
Alix B Tulane University
"I love it. It's help me become more patient and accepting towards others. As well, I don't care as much about the little things, I'm happy and content with who I am and what I have to offer to myself and others."
Maya B University of Kentucky
"Overall, I definitely did learn a lot culturally & academically from this experience. It's a much smaller world than I realized, and the impact that American society has on other countries was definitely an eye opener for me (they really want to "be" us--from our clothing brands, to our fast food.) I also got a really good loo..."
Sarah S University of Arkansas - Fayetteville

"Studying abroad at LSE and living in London was by far the most life-learning experience I have had thus far.
