To help with the funding of your study abroad, we have compiled this list of scholarship opportunities offered by providers of study abroad programs and foreign host universities. In this directory you will see information from these organizations, which may help you fund your dream of study abroad.
Many other resources exist, including those from your home university, you should check with your study abroad office for a list of these. You might also consider how study abroad may impact your existing university Financial Aid package, as the cost of your education will change.

American College of Thessaloniki (ACT)
2 scholarships available across 4 programsMerit scholarships are available during the fall and spring semesters. ACT awards a $1,000 merit scholarship applicable towards the semester's tuition to study abroad students who have reached sophomore status at their home institution and have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.6/4.0. Accepted students will be given the opportunity to apply for the scholarship by sending their most recent transcript to the admissions office. Hellenic-American scholarships are available during the fall and spring semesters. ACT awards scholarships that cover half tuition to eligible Hellenic American applicants. The award does not include housing, orientation, field trips and study abroad fees.

4 scholarships available across 3 programsOur Undocumented Student Support Scholarship (USSS) was created for undocumented students who want to attend an IBS virtual seminar. These awards go to students who are interested in better understanding the business world, interacting with executives at global companies, and networking with students around the world.

The Founders Scholarship was created to support students who want to attend an IBS seminar and have an additional financial need. These awards go to students who are actively finding ways to finance their program with IBS and have thoughtful personal, professional and academic goals for their time abroad.

The NIU Study Abroad Office is offering two $2,500 scholarships directly to Northern Illinois University students to use exclusively on the IBS Summer China Seminar. The role of an IBS Digital Ambassador is to creatively share your experience for future marketing and recruiting purposes. The ideal digital ambassador will be willing to try new things, step out of their comfort zone and candidly share their experience with others. No blogging or video creation experience is necessary, but it may be helpful! Photo/video tips and suggestions will be provided to help guide you. In order for the scholarship application to be reviewed, the applicant must have completed a Carleton Global Engagement program application by the application deadline. Scholarship awards range from $1000 to $3000.

1 scholarship available across 3 programsA merit-based scholarship for honor-roll students to study abroad with Summit Global Education Value: - $400 scholarship - to be used on any upcoming Summit Global Education program To qualify, the student must meet all of the following criteria: - Already accepted to an upcoming Summit Global Education program - Full-time student enrolled in and working toward completion of an undergraduate or graduate degree in an accredited four-year university, where they completed at least 30 hours of university-level credit at the time of the application to an upcoming Summit Global Education program - Cumulative GPA of at least 3.8 / 4.0 (93%) in university-level courses Please submit by email - Copy of transcripts to verify GPA - 400-word essay describing why it is important for you to study abroad, and how you plan to use this experience to expand your global perspective. - Letter of recommendation, preferably from a professor or academic advisor
