"The study abroad experience did give me a better understanding for German culture and I was able to learn the language better. Academically the program was not a good experience for me. It did not add to my college transcript. I do think I will continue learning German later in life and that culturally I am more aware."

"It was definitely worthwhile. I feel that I learned a lot academically and non-academically and a lot about a different part of the world I was not too familiar with such as Europe, Asia, and Africa. While living in the heart of London it often felt that I was living in the heart of the world. When living in America I can feel t..."

"Languages and traveling are probably two of my favorite things in life so I absolutely had the time of my life studying abroad and am making plans to return (hopefully to live) as soon as possible. Madrid is a great city for making new friends and trying new things. During my time in Spain I explored cultural differences and the..."

"This program provided me with the opportunity to learn a different culture and lifestyles. Also, due to its geographical location, I was able to travel around Europe during the mid-semester break, thus getting a very good and wide-ranged cultural experience."
Yonatan M Clark University
"Studying abroad helped open my eyes to other parts of the world. While I studying in England, I was able to backpack around Europe for a month, seeing many countries, learning all about their culture, people and history. Going abroad was an amazing experience and I would do it again in a heartbeat."
Jennifer B Clark University
"I learned about numerous european cultures from traveling. I spend a month traveling around Europe with friends, staying in hostels, and meeting locals. It's just wonderful to study in Europe, because everything is a train ride away. Also airlines like Ryanair and Easyjet make it cheap and quick to get to further destinations. L..."

"I had the time of my life abroad just traveling all over Turkey, making new friends, and being in a completely foreign environment. I gained a lot from this program and I now feel comfortable traveling to most other countries after experiencing a country like Turkey for 6 months. "

"I LOVED every minute of it....i suggest going abroad to everyone...i wish i had spent a year there! I met tons of wonderful people. lived with people from all over the world, and was 100 percent immersed in the culture (granted it wasn't drastically different, but different enough)"
Britney W Clark University
"It was awesome. It was good to see academics from a different country. I made lifelong freinds there."
Francesca A Clark University
"Yes it was worthwhile but I like freedom. I am an independant person and I have trouble with others dictating how I live. The lack of free time was hard for me. It was great and I'm glad I did it, but I might have chosen a program with more freedom, had I known. "

"Because I had only started taking French a year and a half before, I was not as skilled as I would have liked and the program did not do a lot to help people who were struggling. Being in France really helped my French, but my grades suffered as a result of my lack of knowledge. In addition, I had a really tough time when I was ..."

"Definitely worthwhile for the cultural aspect. Academics were not as invigorating or satisfying as those at my home university."
Mallory K Clark University
"Yes, the classes were easy enough but educational. I will never forget the experiences and friends."
Silvia T Clark University
"yes. i highly disliked my program, but being on the island was unreal. living in the caribbean for three months changed the way i interact with the world now."
bridget k Clark University
"More or less, it was worth it, but I wish my classes ended up better. The cultural aspect was pretty good ay, and I loved the North West trip! I'm fairly satisfied."
Dylan S Clark University
"I wish I had not done the study abroad program at Koc University. My academic career was negatively impacted, I got poor grades because I used critical thinking and developed my own opinions, and my opinion of a perfectly good country and culture was pretty tarnished. I wish someone had told me all of this before I made the mist..."

"My study abroad experience was everything. It was good and bad, there were happy and sad times. It was not just study abroad, it was my life. I had an incredible time and will be friends with those I met for the rest of my life."
AmandaLee A Clark University
"Studying abroad was one of the best experiences of my life. Living in another culture, speaking another language and living with another family -- it is almost impossible to describe. I would not change my experience for anything. There are only 2 improvements I can think of for this program. One would be to have less class or l..."

"I loved this program. I did not come into this program with the mindset of "hey I'm a junior in college let's go study abroad!" I came into this program with the mindset of therapy, recooperation, and self healing based on previous events that happened before I left for the DR. Because of this, I did not have a typical study abr..."

"Yes. Gaining new things every day :)"

"Personally, it made me realize just how much of a control freak I am. The Dominican Republic is not conducive to that way of being, and it has taught me patience like I never would have imagined. Academically and in terms of career goals, I now have a very clear idea of what I would like to do with myself after I graduate. Up..."

"It was worthwhile. I got to travel a lot during breaks and each course I took provided great education to my geography background."

"Coming to Scotland was very worthwhile because of the opportunities I've had to explore the country and the rest of Europe. Although the education was not good, it did leave me plenty of time to do other things! "
