Yes, I am more culturally and geographically aware and I have the "travel bug"- I want to see everything now! I am more independent and able to do things more easily now because I have overcome some of my shyness. I am also very comfortable getting around strange cities now, when before I would have been very timid and not will... - Illinois State University View Entire Review

It was so worth it. I learned so much about myself and life, that I never would have learned without this experience. I am so grateful for all of it. I would do it again in a heartbeat. - Illinois State University View Entire Review
I loved studying abroad in Florence. I gained a lot of confidence when I was in Italy because I constantly had to put myself out there in order to learn or interact with other people. I was able to meet many local Italians and I definitely benefited from experiencing the Italian mentality toward life. Italians, at least to me, c... - Maryland Institute College of Art View Entire Review
My study abroad experience was totally worthwhile. I had actually done this exact same program back in the Fall of 2008 and loved it so much that I decided to do it again. Studying abroad enriches your life in so many ways that you would have never even dreamed of. I have such a greater appreciation for cultures and other people... - SUNY Purchase View Entire Review
My study abroad experience was definitely worthwhile, I learned so much about myself and other cultures and people. I would definitely travel, but stay some weekends in Florence because it is an amazing city! I think that my time abroad has been the most life-altering and educational experience I have had in college! - SUNY - Binghamton View Entire Review
Past Review Florence
Florence is an incredible city. It is so unfortunate that so much of my experience was ruined by Lorenzo De Medici. I wish I could do it again and choose and different program. I strongly advise anyone and everyone to go abroad, specifically to Florence but through any program other than LDM. It is horrible. - SUNY - Binghamton View Entire Review
I never had a more fabulous experience. The people I met are going to be lifetime friends. It was a true test to myself and if I could I would do it over and over again. - SUNY - Binghamton View Entire Review
I thought it was a great experience. If I had more money I would have traveled more while I was there. The school was great overall and I got to meat some new and interesting people. If you do decide to go there make sure you take a cooking class, you might as well take home a little piece of Italy back home with you. - Illinois State University View Entire Review

I would do it again in a heart beat. If I do graduate school I will most likely go abroad again. - Illinois State University View Entire Review
Like the cliche I chose above, at first I was a tourist and saw what i expected in my head before I came, but later I became the traveler, I learned to see the negative and positive, the reality of a city, and the daily life in another country. It taught me so much about the world, it opened my mind. It has made me more restless... - Illinois State University View Entire Review

I am glad that I went yes, but I do not think id like to live in Florence ever again. I learned that I dont prefer city living and I learned just how extremely touristy Florence is. Sadly it has become extremely Americanized! The experience in general was amazing and the beauty that I experienced while abroad in Florence was jus... - Illinois State University View Entire Review

It was absolutely worth it. I got to learn about a different culture, got to learn about a different language, and I became a lot more independant. It was a very good expierence.
