Courtney W Ithaca College
"The reason I said I would not choose this program again is because once is enough. This is not meant as a negative assessment, and it's not that I would mind doing the same program all over again, but I gained so much from the program the first time around, I want to move back and try life a little different in London. I think..."
Stacy S Ithaca College
"YES. I had a great time and learned a lot about the culture of London and other countries I visited. It also made me grow up...I was the only sophomore and the only business student to go when I went, but I used it as an opportunity to make new friends and make the most of the experience."

"My study abroad experience was very worthwhile. I gained a greater perspective on life, politics, culture, and the world in general. "Studying abroad made me more confident and increased my global awareness. The food was great, as were all the historical sights. It was really neat to try out a different way of living, even if most of it didn't stick. I was able to take classes that counted towards general education requirements at home. Push yourself out of yo..."

"Of course it was worth while. The program was horrible although I had heard similar things about IES before i left; i should have listened. I am a much more understanding person. I am grateful for what I have and what my country offers me no matter what great problems I have with it. "

"Yes, yes, yes. You have to know how to pack light and pack well when taking a long trip to England or a short trip around Europe. I think that was one of the things that will serve me well throughout my life. Know the difference between what you NEED to bring and what you WANT to bring. You need less then you think you do."
Anna R Ithaca College
"I would go it again as much as I could if I had the money. I can't say enough good things about the people I met, the places I went and everything I gained. While I am poor and trying to get settled back into American life, I find I have to actively stop myself from thinking about everything that had just happened in my life. ..."

"I've honestly become a lot more confident. I really grew a lot in my time abroad. After looking at Japan in one way for so long, it was a dramatic change to see it from the inside, in all its glory and disgustingness. "It was more than worthwhile. It was great to see the political/social climate of another country. In particular for theatre students on this program: there is more accessible and affordable theatre of high quality than you could ever imagine - it's an amazing opportunity that is almost too good to be true. "
